The new supported Pages 6 and onward have made many things harder to accomplish. Franky Pages 09 is clumsy compared with the older ones and less flexible.

But the 09, after many mistakes and misreadings of icons, has become mostly workable. The new ones are less and less intuitive. This word is key. It's the reason I have been using Macs for 25 years. The closer Pages gets to windows office, the less pleasant the experience of using it is.

Line across page I use the 'line across page' mostly to separate the header or footer text from the rest of the document. Although I am new to Pages, this seems to work:.
