Recently, I upgraded to Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard. Neverwinter Nights (MAC) will run on Snow Leopard, but it is not supported on Mountain Lion. Fortunately I beat the game prior to upgrading my OS, but I'm still a bit pissed that I can no longer play this classic game on my computer. Welcome to the “Neverwinter Online” for Mac game page. Upgrade to OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion! If you do this, performance will (hopefully) increase in ALL Wine wrappers and not just Neverwinter Online! VERY GLITCHY ON OSX 10.6 SNOW LEOPARD: If you are using OSX 10.6, you may find this wrapper is very buggy and may cause your mac to freeze.
Solution: Open up 'Wineskin' inside the contents of the wrapper, click 'set screen options' and UNCHECK the 'Use Mac driver' check box and then exit wineskin. Now the wrapper should use X11 and stop the freezing! LAGS ON PROTECTORS ENCLAVE MAP: This is a VERY common issue!
Protectors Enclave is a VERY DEMANDING Map and lags EVEN on windows! Solution: Try the following ADVANCED graphics settings (click the advanced options checkbox in the neverwinter graphics menu): Full Screen V-Sync - Off Render Scale - 100% (Lowering this will also increase performance) Graphics - Change to whatever you feel is necessary to run the game comfortably.
